break into something	forçar a entrada quebrando	The firemen had to break into the room to rescue the children.
break something in	usar alguma coisa para que não pareça novo	I need to break these shoes in before we run next week.
break in	interromper	The TV station broke in to report the news of the president’s death.
break up	acabar um relacionamento	My boyfriend and I broke up before I moved to America.

blow something up	encher de ar	We have to blow 10 balloons up
break down	parar de funcionar (carro)	Our car broke down yesterday
break down	ficar triste	The father broke down when his son died.
break something down	dividir em pequenas partes	We broke the project down into three separate parts.

Phrasal Verbs. Verbo que tem seu sentido/ tradução alterado em razão do acréscimo de uma preposição ou de uma partícula adverbial a ele.

ask someone out	Convidar para um encontro	Joe asked Julia out to dinner.
ask around	Fazer a mesma pergunta a algumas pessoas	I asked around but nobody has seen my friend.

back something up	Voltar ou marcha ré	Back your car up please.
back someone up	Ajudar, suporte	My friends are always backing me up.

Hoje vamos falar sobre Present Simple em todas as formas.

Present Simple

I do/work/like

I work in a shop. My brother works in a bank. (Repare que para he/she/it o verbo ganha um s em works)

Present Simple Negative

I don’t (do not) work

She doesn’t (does not) work (Aqui está o segredo. O verbo volta para work sem o S e para he/she/it o do vira does)

Present Simple Questions

Do you work?

Does she work?

Como vocês podem ver o verbo volta fica sem o S e para he/she/it usa-se o Does.
